Basingstoke Choral Society is inviting new members to join their upcoming season.

The choir is preparing for a programme featuring the works of both Joseph Haydn and his younger brother, Michael Haydn..  The season will end with a concert on Sunday, November 15, featuring Joseph Haydn's Nelson Mass and Michael Haydn's Requiem.  This concert presents a rare opportunity for many to experience Michael Haydn's music, which is not often performed.  New members have been invited to a social and rehearsal evening on Wednesday, September 2, at 7.30pm, at The Vyne School. This open evening offers potential members a chance to meet current choir members and participate in a rehearsal. Basingstoke Choral Society welcomes singers of all experience levels, whether they are seasoned choristers or returning after a break. Established for many years, the society is known for its concerts featuring a wide range of choral music, performed with professional soloists and an orchestra. Apart from the musical aspect, members also enjoy a sense of community and camaraderie each week. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend the open evening or contact the membership secretary for more information.
