A Summer Evening of Mozart - 5 July 2025

How should we describe our Summer concert? A Perfect Blend of Mozart and Morsels, or a Summer Serenade, or perhaps Music and Strawberries to elevate your spirit.

For the third year in a row, the Basingstoke Choral Society is returning to the historic village of Odiham—this time with a concert that features Mozart's Requiem and Solemn Vespers.

The Requiem, shrouded in intrigue and completed posthumously, serves as a profound reflection on themes of life and redemption. Its haunting melodies and intricate harmonies resonate deeply, inviting personal contemplation and connection.

In contrast, the Solemn Vespers is a radiant celebration of spirituality, a stark contrast to the Requiem's intensity. Full of vibrant melodies and lush textures, it uplifts the spirit.

And if this is not enough, to make your evening even more delightful, we'll be serving fresh strawberries, wine, and refreshing soft drinks.

So we invite you to join us on Saturday, the 5th of July 2025, at 7:00 pm for A Summer Evening of Mozart. You can see we kept the name of the concert simple after all.
