Basingstoke Choral Society was founded in 1947, as a small local choir. Now, with a membership of around 130, we are an ambitious amateur group aiming to perform high quality musical events, together with some of the country’s leading professionals. We have sung with the Philharmonia, the London Mozart Players and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment as well as a number of world-class soloists mostly at our local, nationally acclaimed Concert Hall, The Anvil. We have also sung at The Barbican Concert Hall and in live transmissions on BBC Television and Radio. You are always welcome to join us as a choir member, patron, friend, sponsor and advertiser or by attending our concerts. |
